Golf Course Management
Golf Course Management Team lead by Greg Saul has really done a lot of work and the greens are getting better and better! A contract for updating the irrigation system is in process with work to begin in the Spring 2026 pending updated proposal award.
Golf in the Texas Hill Country
Welcome to the Lago Vista Women’s Golf Association (LVWGA). The membership of the Association is open to all women golfers who are active in a USGA-approved handicap system. If you are unsure if your handicap system is USGA-approved or if you are not sure what a handicap system is, please inquire at the Lago Vista Golf Course Pro Shop (512-267-1170).
As a LVWGA member you have the opportunity to play golf in an organized competition with other members of the 18-hole group. Players at all levels are welcome, however, there is a maximum handicap of 40. You will be flighted within your handicap and play with others in your same range. To compete for prizes, there is a voluntary wager of $4.00 per player that is used to pay prizes.
Official play days are on Wednesdays. Play is scheduled in the morning, but the specific time depends on the season of the year. For more details, please check out the Play Day Schedule detailed on our website. A membership application can be found on the website as well.
Not a golfer? Not a problem! We have a social membership as well. As a social member, you will be able to attend our General meetings and any parties, cookouts, or other fun activities held throughout the year.
The LVWGA also offers a short term membership (cannot exceed 3 months) available for our visitors.
Still not sure? Come out and be our guest one time. You will see how much fun it is!

We're always looking for both beginners and experienced players along with our extended Social Member group. That's right, you don't actually need to know how to play to join our group.
